What was it one was supposed to do again? Knock on the door... then what?
Then he realized how tired he was and decided just to let things go however they may go. He walked up to the door and jabbed at it to produce a sound.
The door opened much quicker than he thought, making him jump back with startlement.
A blue male Color Cat stood in the hallway, wearing his scarf only so that it was hanging over his shoulders. Blaze was relieved when he noticed that this cat had somehow also been influenced by the Courage. But how had that happened?
"I heard about everything, so there's no need to explain. Come in." He stepped aside to let Blaze pass, then closed the door again.
Was it not for the uncomfortable feeling Blaze had about being a "prisoner", he would have exclaimed

The attacker pricked him with the dagger again, urging him to be the first one to go down. There was no reason to object. He felt for something to step on, and when both his forepaws had gotten hold of what felt like the steps of a ladder, he advanced, letting himself be gobbled up by the darkness.
Carefully choosing his way down the wooden construction, he finally reached a horizontal stone floor. And the feeling of cold metal against his fur soon told him that the attacker had joined him.
"There's only one way to go, so I'll allow you to take the lead," he said with his muffled voice. "But try anything weird and you'll regret it."
Enough with the hostility, Blaze thought, though he didn't say anything out loud. As he walked he noticed that the air became more moist and warm. He took an opportunity to brush his tail against the wal

Chapter 3 The Visitors
The blue sea of flowers finally started to give way to solid ground. The sun was covered by thick, white clouds, and the air was cold. It was still early.
Further up ahead, Blaze saw that the hills and mountains were hidden beneath a glittering layer of snow.
It had been three whole days since the embodiments set out to find the Transparent one. The field had seemed endless, and each morning Blaze had expected to wake up in the Nothingness-realm, just as usual. The Dream-state he entered while not in a blue room was more difficult to control since Night wasn't near. But he hadn't seen any clues in the Dream Realm.
After being on his own for so long, with no one else to influence him, his beloved Courage had returned to him. He felt much stronger now, like he could really do something to help. It was a relief

Ghost felt satisfied with the decision. She was lucky to have Sea to help her, but she had to admit that she had improved her leadership abilities. This was the first time she had taken such responsibilities. It felt great to help her fellow embodiments.
She understood why Blaze had been irritated by her choice of meeting place, but she couldn't have risked them being overheard by anyone. Even if she had sent them to a mountain peak, there could have been mountain-climbers nearby. However ridiculous it sounded, she was sure she had done the right thing.
She enjoyed the feeling of running through the sea of flowers. It made it easier to relax. It was as if the soft petals spoke to her while gently stroking her legs; "Keep running! There is always hope!"
Grief wondered why Blaze had asked her about her thoughts. It was obvious, wasn't it?

Chapter 2 The Decision
Blaze often travelled to the World Realm, since Courage was needed very frequently, but he could never seem to get used to it. Soon, he finally felt solid ground beneath his paws, and he opened his eyes. He blinked as the sun's rays almost blinded him. It was hard to see where they had travelled to; everything was covered in white sand. The sky Blaze couldn't help but be amazed whenever he saw it was as blue as the sea that surrounded them. Were they on an island? How were they supposed to get anywhere from here?
Then he realized that the blue sea around them wasn't made of water, it was made of flowers.
"Oh, how beautiful! How incredibly beautiful!"
Heart was definitely back to her normal self.
"Yes, indeed, it truly really is!"
And so w

The embodiments lined up side by side, leaving only a muttering Storm behind as they stepped into The Ancestors's domain.
Blaze's mind spun and he could not think clearly for a single heartbeat. He was afraid, he realized, but knew nothing more. The feeling of stepping into the Room was the same as that of the Corridor, only more intense. Was this how dying felt like? No, one was able to breathe just fine. In fact, all the senses seemed to be strengthened in a way.
The entrance closed. Though for Blaze it looked like a great wooden gate, there really was no door, nor anything visible. When standing in front of it, one would know if it was open or closed. Everything about the Nothingness was mysterious, as was its embodiment.
"Where is it?" Blaze demanded just as the entrance was fully closed and silence had begun to overwhelm them. "Ancestors, answer

Chapter 1 The Meeting
Blaze was in one of the green rooms. He felt like he needed the comfort of Wisdom it provided. There was so much going on inside his head right now; all the emotions struggled to be the strongest. Right now it leaned toward Misery, although milder than it usually was.
He took a deep breath, letting it out while throwing his head back and closing his eyes. The air inside the room was just like it always was, cool and still. That was the meaning of Wisdom. To be cool and level-headed.
He had been an embodiment for a very long time now, he realized. He had a lot of experience. For that he was very thankful. With experience came Wisdom. Soon he would no longer need to go to the green rooms as often as he did now. Perhaps a trip to an orange room would do him good? Orange was his color, after all. It was Courage, the emotion he was the very embodiment of. He had to represent it

Brown and white fur, brown eyes
The only of her kind
A cat who found a power
It controlled the mind
The power was energy
It could be contained
The she-cat became a vessel
But her strength was drained
Four realms, world and spirit
Where dead and living roam
Dream and nothingness
Where mind and energy have their home
The barriers between must be preserved
Or the world will perish
No cat must cross uninvited
Should they desire a place to cherish
The she-cat divided her power
She gave them to nine of adolescence
Seven were to control emotions
With the ability to influence
Two were to control the realms
Of night and ghost
One color for every cat
Settling for nothingness as their post
Half cat, half energy
Their lives were extended
